Hi there!

I’m a hardware guy with a passion for beautifully designed products that will truly make a difference in people's lives. I’m most excited by the opportunity to work with talented teams to bring these products to life. Trained in engineering and business at MIT, I’ve built and led product teams from small startups working out of apartment offices to Fortune 100 companies. I have 15 years of experience working with overseas manufacturing and international supply chains. Products that I’ve touched can be found in the smart home, health & wellness, wearables, biopharmaceuticals, and oil & gas spaces.

Somerville raised, Cambridge trained, living and working in NYC.

Capabilities

  • Design

I follow a human-centered design approach. This means extensive user research from early in the design process. PRDs start with a user persona and understanding of the environment and use case, and are continually challenged with user testing as the product takes form.

  • Engineering

MIT-trained mechanical engineer with 15 years of product development experience. I’ve led hardware teams from concept to launch for products in the smart home, health & wellness, wearables, biopharmaceuticals, and oil & gas spaces. Products span from environmentally and regulatorily demanding industrial applications to award-winning consumer electronics.

  • Manufacturing

I started my career in manufacturing, and have extensive knowledge of production techniques and processes - plastics, metals, PCBAs, sensors, and actuators. The products I’ve touched have been made in the China, Taiwan, Japan, Mexico, and the US. My extensive overseas manufacturing experience allows me to lead manufacturer selection, component sourcing, and establishing the right level of QA and QC rigor.

  • Logistics and Sales Operations

A career in startups means you wear many different hats. Through all of my roles, I’ve developed extensive experience in planning, supply chain, and fulfillment & reverse logistics for both D2C and major retail channels (Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart). I’ve also stood up CX teams and developed internal processes to quickly address customer support needs.

  • Team Building

Working with the best means hiring the best. I’ve led technical recruiting, from top-of-funnel sourcing through developing technical tests, for engineers. I’ve quickly scaled engineering, operations, and CX teams to meet the needs of a high-growth company. Culture is important to me, and I strive to create a tight-knit bond within my teams built on trust, communication, and collaboration.

  • Business Leadership

I build businesses, not gadgets. An MIT-trained MBA, I’ve been responsible for product ROI in all of my roles. My intimate knowledge of product pricing strategy, cost of goods, sales & marketing, and operations allow me to quickly assess product viability, and serves as a key input into design decisions throughout a product’s development lifecycle.
